Zoraida Firpi (Mother of the Bride) Yazmin's mom is hands down the best dancer attending the ceremony. She can also give a mean wash and blow dry and is known to most as a green-thumb extraordinaire. When she's not at work making unsightly people look beautiful, she's in the yard making her front and back lawns picturesque. She's got extra incentive now that the wedding reception will be held there next September. |
Nicole Manziano (Maid of Honor) Yazmin and Nicole met their freshman year at Marist College and have been two peas in a pod ever since. In their 4 years as college roommates they perfected their BGD moves and are very excited to be revealing their choreographed routine at the reception. Nicole also got her Master's Degree in 4 1/2 years and is now a special education teacher in New Jersey. She'll be getting married in July. |
Liz Anderson (Bridesmaid) Liz and Yazmin have been friends since their college days at Marist. Their travels together took them from Psych class to the Bahamas, Montreal, and everywhere in between. After college, Liz went to Hawaii for 1 1/2 years on a teaching assignment but recently returned to the Northeast and is now working in Westport, CT as a special ed teacher. |

Jen Jason (Bridesmaid) Known to most as Chris' sister, this soon-to-be lawyer holds the record for most consecutive hours of television watched without eating or sleeping, and is the proud holder of several other TV-related records, including: Most Channels Watched in a Single Day, Most TiVos Used in a Single Household, and Only Person in the World To Watch "So You Think You Can Dance." Jen was Chris' idol growing up, until he realized he was far cooler than she was. She currently works at New Haven Superior Court. |
Laura Berney (Bridesmaid) Laura is the latest person to become part of Chris and Yazmin's life. She's awesome for at least 3 reasons: 1) She can drink lots of guys under the table, 2) She's lots of fun to hang out with, and 3) She married Greg, and he's pretty damn cool. Laura currently works for the Children's Center in Hamden, CT. She also wins the award for shortest commute- 1 minute, even with traffic. |
Beth Kendall (Bridesmaid) Technically, Chris and Beth go all the way back to Nursery School, circa 1984. But they didn't become friends until 7th grade. In High School, she was exposed to Chris' evil side, also known as John. After a record-breaking amount of persistance, Beth captured John's heart and officially became part of the "Inner Circle of Trust." She got her Bachelor's Degree from UConn in 2004 and is pursuing her Master's at SCSU while interning at North Branford High School. |

John Melillo (Best Man) John is Chris' best friend, having met the groom 19 years ago in pre-first grade. Since then, they have shared countless hours of Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Playstation, baseball, basketball, football, and bowling together. John's ultimate goal was to get his own set of keys to Chris' house, which sadly, he never achieved. But he did go on to play football at Sacred Heart and now works for SportsTicker, providing play-by-play sports data for companies like ESPN and Yahoo. John's Best Man Speech figures to be one of the highlights of Chris and Yazmin's Wedding, due to John's unique way with words. Consider these sentences: "He touched the water and was electricified." Or, "I'm not illicorice, I can read!" and "The guy got into a fatal accident but he's ok now." It's almost Shakespearian. |
Daniel Firpi (Groomsman) Yazmin's brother is quite a guy. No one actually knows what Daniel does, so to speak, but he competes in national Paintball tournaments and has a nack for bringing large machinery home, such as ATVs, power tools, expensive speaker systems, etc. He's also pretty good around the house, so Zoraida hasn't kicked him out yet. He spends most of his time taming his new Pitbull Sophie and keeping his girlfriend Morgan happy. |
Greg Berney (Groomsman) Chris and Greg were acquaintances growing up as they played baseball and basketball against each other. But they didn't become close friends until Greg started dating a mutual friend in High School. In an ironic twist of fate, Greg's Univ. of Maryland roommate was actually the same kid who crushed two 900 foot home runs off of Chris during a Little League game in 1993. Chris and Greg now spend countless hours trying to coordinate schedules so they can watch old episodes of '24' without their significant others getting mad at them. Greg got his Master's degree from Arizona State University and currently works for Connecticut VNA. |

Spencer (Cat of the Wedded Couple) King Spencer... Ruler of all that is feline. This blue point Himalayan is hands down the most handsome cat around... and he knows it. He spends the majority of his days sleeping on his throne (a.k.a. Cat Condo), plotting his next attack on whatever canines cross his path. Spencer's defining moment occurred one night when, after feeling threatened by the Firpi's new dog Sophie, he cut out the lights in true Ninja style and attacked her. He currently lives comfortably in Trumbull, CT, dines on premium Fancy Feast dinners, and is a wine conoisseaur. |
Chloe (Dog of the Wedded Couple) One cold, dreary December day in 2000, Chris and Yazmin spotted the cutest Siberian Husky in the world at the mall. Serveral hours and some financial support from Chris' mom later, Chloe was an official member of Chris' family. She never barks, which has helped her accumulate an impressive kill count of possums, moles, birds, and other backyard wildlife. She's also a "wooly" Siberian, which is funny because annoying people in dog parks mistake her for a Collie-mix. Chloe will not be able to make the ceremony in Jamaica, but she'll be there in spirit. |
